TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
GAP recognises that its most important resource is its employees and the company is committed to the training and development of its entire workforce to enable each individual to gain the necessary skills to reach their full potential.
The company has a training and development policy, the aim of which is to provide a working environment where employees can maximise their performance, commitment and contribution to the aims of the company.
GAP Group currently provides the following training:
The company currently provides a range of NVQ’s which includes Business Administration, Management, Team Leading, Customer Service, Warehousing and Carry and Deliver Goods.
Management training varies from job shadowing an experienced Manager to attending Management development programmes lasting several months. The company provides training from two hour workshops to in depth induction programmes lasting up to two weeks.
Our Workshop based employees are provided with regular product training provided by our suppliers. This provides for information on new products and updates on technological advances.
Health and Safety
GAP employees receive tool box talk training on a different subject every other month. Our Health and Safety Manager provides coaching to Managers on health and safety and environmental matters.
Elearning is provided to office based employees and includes computer applications, team leading, customer service and Management.
