GAP Employees have perfect attendance
Last year GAP employees knocked up an impressive attendance record with almost half of the plant & tool hirer’s workforce achieving perfect attendance. The figures show that GAP employees remain very much committed to their work even though it has been a tough year for the construction industry.
GAP owners, Douglas and Iain Anderson sent out personalised congratulatory letters to nearly 350 employees to show their appreciation to their staff. Iain Anderson, Joint Managing Director commented, “2009 was a difficult year for GAP due to the economic downturn and for so many of our employees to show this level of commitment is fantastic. I am extremely proud of this achievement and believe that our employees are too.”
GAP’s absence ratio is another indicator of how committed its employees are, with an absence ratio of 2.4% compared with the UK average of 3.3%. The average number of days lost at GAP was 5.3 days per annum per employee compared with a UK average of 7.4 days.
Anderson concluded “through low absence ratios and high attendance records, GAP is able to provide a better, more consistent service to our customers and encourage higher morale within our teams.”
