GAP Unveils New Sales Team

GAP Group Plant & Tool Hire Ltd. have announced a major revamp of their sales structure to accommodate future expansion plans, which will see them operating nationally out of more than 50 depots by 2005.

In addition to the existing sales team, 3 National Account Managers have been recruited to specifically look after the group’s largest accounts, many of whom have nominated GAP as sole or preferred supplier of plant & tools. Some of the companies that have awarded GAP this status include Amec, Carillion, Galliford, Interserve, PLC and Taylor Woodrow (to name but a few).

Mike Pirozek, a Key Account Manager with GAP since April 2000, is joined by John Giles and Steve Cooper to form the new National Account Management Team. Both John and Steve bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience in the hire industry, having both moved through the ranks from beginnings as apprentices.

To further bolster the personal attention given to GAP’s larger customers, 4 new Regional Account Managers are also being recruited to look after those customers who do not operate Nationally, but do work extensively on a Regional basis.

In order to co-ordinate the expanding sales team, GAP are also proud to announce the appointment of the company’s first Sales Director. Colin Haxton will be responsible for the new National & Regional Account Teams and will work closely with Managing Director Iain Anderson as GAP push towards the ambitious goals they have set themselves in the years to come.

Iain Anderson, Joint Managing Director in charge of Operations commented,

“We quickly realised our current sales structure would soon struggle to cope as we continue to expand as a national hire company. The new appointments mark an exiting new phase for GAP and will enable us to achieve all of the goals our customers set for us.”
