Power Tools
Power tools used on any construction site must meet the requirements of PUWER 1998. In general terms the regulations require that equipment provided for use at work is suitable for the intended use, maintained in a safe condition and, in certain circumstances, inspected to ensure that it remains safe.
Employees using the tools must have received adequate information, instruction and training in its use. All tools should be accompanied by suitable safety measures e.g. protective devices, markings and warnings.
