GAP supports London Irish's first ever Construction Day
Aviva Premiership Rugby Club, London Irish, chose the visit of the reigning champions, Northampton Saints, on 4th October to host their inaugural Construction Day at the Madejski Stadium. The event was designed to encourage networking between the club’s many supporters from the construction industry, so that they might unearth mutual business opportunities between them.
GAP Hire Solutions, one of the club’s newest corporate partners, was the official match day sponsor and the event was attended by a number of GAP delegates and customers who enjoyed a day of top class hospitality and entertaining rugby. As sponsor of the day, GAP benefitted from a number of promotional opportunities to help raise the profile of their brand inside and outside of the stadium. The ever popular ‘cement mixer challenge’ was again present outside of the stadium megastore with supporters, young and old, testing their skills and accuracy by passing a rugby ball into our dual branded mixer.
GAP representatives included Joint Managing Directors Douglas and Iain Anderson, Commercial Director Mark Anderson, and Financial Director Andrew Stewart who made the trip from Glasgow to meet like-minded London Irish Supporters and sample the experience laid on by the club on match days. Despite Irish losing to Northampton by 19-12, an enjoyable day was had by all in attendance in the GAP box and sponsor’s suite. Mark commented:
We are delighted to be working with London Irish and, even in the early stages of our partnership, have seen a significant increase in the awareness of the GAP brand in London and the surrounding areas. As a fully national hirer, with a focus on expansion in the South East, London Irish is an excellent fit for GAP, as we establish ourselves as the hire partner of choice for contractors working in the region. We received a warm welcome from everyone involved with London Irish on their first ever construction day and we look forward to being part of what looks like being a very successful season ahead.
