GAP drives forward with new Vehicle Hire division
National hirer, GAP Hire Solutions, has announced the launch of a new Vehicle Hire division in line with ambitious expansion plans for 2015. The division is the fourth to be launched by GAP this year, following the successful integration of Survey & Safety Hire, Event Services and Welfare Services.
GAP has recently completed the acquisition of Central Vehicle Hire; an established and successful company operating across Central Scotland with a team of experienced staff who are widely recognised in the vehicle hire industry. Drawing upon their extensive knowledge, GAP Vehicle Hire will offer a broad range of the UK’s newest commercial vehicles and cars, all of which can be built to the customers’ exact specification. As part of the purchase, GAP Vehicle Hire also inherits a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and there are ambitious plans for the new company to become a major player in the industry.
GAP Vehicle Hire will continue to deliver the excellent customer service and value that GAP is renowned for. It will offer new and existing GAP customers flexibility, offering bespoke hire packages from just a few vehicles to an entire business fleet.
GAP’s new Vehicle Hire Operations Director, Jim Forrester, commented:
I am excited about establishing GAP Vehicle Hire as the UK’s market leader. We have a truly unique offering as well as the newest fleet of vehicles in the UK and I believe our flexibility, customer service levels and the exceptional reputation of GAP Group set us apart from the competition. We are in an extremely strong position to offer our customers an unrivalled level of service.
Founded in 1969, GAP has an annual turnover of £118million and currently employs over 1000 staff across 100 depots in the UK.
