GAP looks to lifts awareness in the South East

GAP’s Lifting Equipment Hire & Sales division will be exhibiting this week at the South East Construction Expo 2018. The one-day event takes place on Thursday 13th September at the South of England Event Centre, Ardingly, in Haywards Heath.

The Expo has provided numerous successful exhibitions over the years; during their stay in Kent delegate numbers increased by 23% in 2017. This year the event takes place in Sussex, providing a more central and accessible location for visitors and enhanced facilities which allows the Expo to continue its growth path.

Peter Monniot (GAP’s Lifting Operations Manager – South), John Broome (General Manager, GAP’s Brighton Lifting depot) and other specialists will be present on stand 140 to introduce the latest innovative products, demonstrate their use and answer your questions.

A division of GAP Hire Solutions equipment rental group, GAP’s Lifting division was formed in 2011 in response to demand from established customers, many of which operate within the utilities, construction and rail sectors. Since its launch GAP’s Lifting division has gone from strength to strength; with 30 standalone depots across the UK and a team of mobile lifting engineers, no business is better placed to take care of your lifting requirements.

GAP also offers a dedicated Test, Inspect and Certify (TIC) service whereby their experienced LEEA qualified TIC engineers can check every item in your fleet, even if it wasn’t purchased through GAP, ensuring it is safe and legal. This can be done either in a GAP depot or at your site.

Peter Monniot commented: “Our team will be at the South of England Event Centre from 8.30am to 4.30pm to discuss and offer solutions for all your technical enquiries. We deal directly with the industry’s leading suppliers to source the highest quality and safest equipment in the market.

“One of our key service differentiators is the speed and flexibility with which we can respond to customer demand. If you are looking for something and we don’t have it, we’ll buy it. All our General Managers have unrestricted autonomy to buy in equipment on a next-day basis.

John Broome said: “Our newly opened Brighton Lifting depot in Mackley Industrial Estate, Small Dole, is one of 140 GAP depots nationwide, meaning GAP can service all your requirements whether you are based in the South East or beyond.”

The family-owned GAP Group began trading as a plant hire company in 1969. In addition to Lifting Hire & Sales it also operates Plant & Tools, Non-Mechanical Plant, Survey & Safety, Welfare, Tools & Access (London), Vehicle Hire and Event divisions.

John added: “If you are attending the event, please come along to stand 140 and say ‘hello’; you’ll even have the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy tablet from GAP or a hot air balloon ride for two courtesy of Mace Industries.”
