GAP Hire Solutions has been shortlisted in three award categories at the Hire Awards of Excellence 2020.

GAP Hire Solutions, the largest independent hire company in the UK, has been shortlisted in three award categories at the Hire Awards of Excellence 2020.

The Hire Awards of Excellence is organised by Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) and has been put in place to recognise the amazing achievements of hirers and suppliers within the UK’s plant, tool, equipment and event hire industry. These awards are certainly among the most sought-after accolades in this industry and GAP is delighted to be acknowledged.

GAP has been nominated for the SafeHire Plant, Tool and Equipment Hire Company of the Year (Turnover Over £10m), Hire Industry Product of the Year and Catalogue of the Year.

HAE 2020 Finalist

GAP’s AutoHybrid ZERO Welfare Unit, which the hire company developed in close partnership with supplier AJC EasyCabin, is in the running to be named Hire Industry Product of the Year. This product is a strong welfare alternative for any company that is looking to reduce their environmental footprint and ensure that their site welfare is compliant and ready for the demands of future CO2 reduction targets.

The AutoHybrid ZERO is the ideal hire solution for GAP’s customers in a wide range of sectors including construction, rail, events and utilities. Replacing the need for traditional diesel-powered systems, the welfare unit combines solar and hydrogen fuel cell power to reduce costs and eliminate local carbon emissions.

On receiving the nominations, Iain Anderson, Joint Managing Director of GAP, commented: “After a huge year in 2019 celebrating GAP’s golden anniversary, being nominated for these three awards is a wonderful way to round off our 50th celebrations.

“We are extremely proud of the company and what we have achieved within our 50 years so far and we are really excited to have all our hard work acknowledged in this way.

“I am very much looking forward to attending the awards night and I would like to wish the other nominees all the best in their categories as well.”

This year’s award ceremony will take place on 4th April 2020 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and the event will be hosted by stand-up comedian and writer Jo Caulfield who has worked on some of the biggest TV shows in British comedy such as ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’.
