Interactive Toolbox Talks
In April 2019, we launched our new Interactive Toolbox Talks, a fun and eye-catching way of engaging workers with health and safety regulations, which can be accessed for free online.
The Interactive Toolbox Talks, an industry-first, are intended to facilitate and enhance health and safety discussions, providing an educational aid to refresh workers’ knowledge and draw attention to the risks associated with their equipment and surroundings.
GAP’s Event Services team together with the Marketing department have produced a series of videos on best practice to help make our customers and depot staff's lives easier, safer and more productive.
GAP recently launched its Mental Health Awareness Initiative which aims to give mental health the same attention that has traditionally been given to physical health; removing the stigma surrounding the issue and encouraging workers to think about their mental wellbeing.
All employees have been given a confidential 24/7 helpline card which offers a free assistance programme and promotional posters have been displayed in all depots and throughout Head Office. Every Scottish-based General Manager, Team Leader and Department Manager at GAP’s Head Office have completed mental health workshops. The workshops will be rolled out during 2019 to all managers throughout the UK.
