The Hire Awards of Excellence 2019 took place on Saturday 13th April at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, with various representatives from GAP Group in attendance.
GAP took home the accolade for the SafeHire Event Equipment Hire Company of the Year, solidifying the Group’s position as one of the leading event hire companies in the UK.
Iain Anderson, GAP’s Joint Managing Director, and Karen Greenshields, Director of Event Services, Welfare Services and Non-Mechanical Plant divisions at GAP, were in attendance to accept the trophy presented by Anton du Beke and the award’s sponsor Justin Carrigan of Plant & Civil Engineer.
Since GAP’s Event Services was established in 2014 it has gone from strength to strength with its aim to become a nationally, well-respected supplier to the event market. GAP’s Events team has continuously grown and improved together and is set to expand even further after employing additional members in 2019. Its success is mostly due to the greatly experienced team, all with a vast background in events, the high-quality kit made available by GAP’s other divisions, such as Non-Mechanical Plant and Welfare Services, and the employees building strong, solid relationships with clients. This results in customers choosing to place repeat orders for their events each year.
The hire company was also awarded Highly Commended in the category of Catalogue of the Year. GAP’s 2019 catalogue was launched towards the end of last year showcasing the wide range of products and services available from the company and commemorating its 50th anniversary. Designed in-house, the 2019 edition brings a new level of functionality and a more consistent look, with a modern, fresh and user-friendly design allowing readers to identify and source equipment from GAP’s eight divisions quickly and efficiently. The catalogue also gives an insight into the business, outlining news and features that set GAP apart from its competitors, such as its Green Action Plan.
Following the event, Karen Greenshields, commented: “Everyone from GAP had a fantastic time, it was a great night as always. On top of that, we are ecstatic to be awarded the SafeHire Event Equipment Hire Company of the Year and receive a Highly Commended award for Catalogue of the Year. A huge well done to all involved.”
These victories are the perfect way for GAP to start off its 50th year and the company would like to extend congratulations to all the other winners from the night.
